This page will show you how to connect to the SECD server from the UNL wired network.
 
Connect to the SECD Server with Mac OS X
  1.  Select Finder > Go > Connect to Server..
 
 
  1.  In the “Server Address:” text field, type in                                        “afp://your-user-name@secd.unl.edu” without the quotes.
  2. Alternatively you could type the IP or server name as illustrated.
  3.  Then click the “Connect” button.
 
  1.  To authenticate click the “Registered User” button.
  2.  Type your name and password in to the appropriate fields.
  3.  Then click the “Connect” button.
 
  1.  Select the appropriate volumes to mount                                            in the “Select the volumes to mount” list field.
  2.  Then click the “OK” button.
 
  1.  The volume will mount to the Desktop of your computer.

  1. • Do not work on files over the network - download them to your local computer.
  2. • Dismount from servers when you’re not using them.
  3. • Quit promptly from applications you’re not actively using.
  4. • Exit normally from applications, using the Quit command.
  5. • Buy legal copies of applications you need to use regularly.
